Located off the coast of Bouillante around the Pigeon Islets, the Cousteau Reserve is one of Guadeloupe’s most iconic natural sites. A true marine sanctuary, it offers exceptional underwater landscapes accessible to both snorkelers and scuba divers.

Its clear waters are home to a wide variety of tropical fish, corals, gorgonians, starfish, and sea turtles, making this site a must-visit to discover the richness of the seabed along the Leeward Coast. Accessible from Malendure Beach or via a guided excursion, the reserve offers a unique immersion in a preserved natural environment.

🌿 Why we love this site

  • one of the most beautiful snorkeling spots in Guadeloupe

⚠️ Respect the site
The reserve is a protected natural area: do not touch the corals or marine animals, do not walk on the seabed, and do not use sunscreen (soon to be banned) in order to preserve this fragile ecosystem.

🚗 Good to know
The easiest access is from Malendure Beach, where parking may be limited during the day, especially during the tourist season and on weekends.
