The town's geothermal bath

Located in the heart of Bouillante, the town’s geothermal bath is a hot-water area in the sea fed by the geothermal power plant. The temperature depends on the operation of the geothermal power plant and the mixing with seawater (when the plant is shut down, the bath is “cold”). The site, particularly popular for enjoying a relaxing moment overlooking the Caribbean Sea,  has become a must-visit spot to soak up the local atmosphere in Bouillante.

🚗 Good to know
The stadium parking lot right next door makes parking easy, but it can fill up quickly in the late afternoon and evening.  The hot spring is located on a pebble beach, which can make getting into the water a bit tricky.

The site gets very busy in the evening, with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a cozy moment by the sea after a long day and admire a beautiful sunset.
