Malendure Beach
Plage de Malendure 97125 Bouillante
Facing the famous Pigeon Islets, Malendure Beach is one of the most iconic spots on Guadeloupe’s Leeward Coast. With its black volcanic sand and calm waters, it serves as the gateway to the legendary Cousteau Reserve, a veritable natural aquarium accessible directly from the shore.
Here, all you need is a mask and snorkel to observe tropical fish, sea turtles, and coral reefs just a few meters from the shore. Kayaks, scuba diving, or glass-bottom boats also allow you to explore the neighboring islets located right across from the beach.
Facing due west, Malendure is also a magical spot to admire the sunset over the Caribbean Sea—a must-see moment after a day of exploration.
